About Us

Like many of you, Jeff and I quickly became hooked on Gypsy Horses. However, the road to the Gypsy Horses, started some time ago.
Jeff and I have a total of five kids together. Their ages are:- 18, 15, 14,13,10. All of them love our horses. But years ago Jeff and I said we would never own a horse. Too much work as we found out as kids and didn’t want the responsibility as grownups!
Then we got our first Mini! The Mini was somewhat like a dog. And cute! We loved our Mini, but of course, said we'd NEVER want a big horse! Then we were looking through a magazine one day and I saw a horse that looked like it belonged in Barbie’s playhouse. We had just seen our first Gypsy Horse! Jeff and I went nuts! Then we started reading everything we could on these horses! Being in the baby boomers age bracket they sounded perfect and especially for a family such as ours, with several children! I am not as limber as I used to be so driving sounded like a dream! So we purchased our first Gypsy horses. Two Stallions! What were we thinking??
The learning curve blasted us in the face fast! Yes we are still alive, but holy smokes, we started learning very fast! We also became very attached to our two new beautiful boys! But never did we think we would become as attached as we have.
It was then, that disaster struck. Our lovely home, burned to the ground.
We went through the horror of watching it gradually disappear into ashes. The amazing part of it all was the peace that these horses gave both my husband and I. Our children also watched as the firemen tried to contain the fire to the house and we all hung onto our horses and cried - and our horses stood there and let us! They seemed to know that somehow this was not time for playing, but to stand solidly and quietly, for their humans.
Happily now, we have a new home and ranch and are putting behind us, the tragic loss of our previous home.
Jeff and I are happily, both at the same place when it comes to the love of these horses! They grab your heart and they just don’t let go. Going from never wanting to have a horse to knowing now, that my life could NEVER be without these horses, has been a wonderful experience. At this point in our lives we know that house or no house we would live in the barn with our horses if we had to.
We will never be without our Gypsy Horses! We love them! The hardest part will always be saying goodbye to those we have to sell. These horses have done more for us, than we will ever be able to repay. A while ago, I lost my younger sister to Cancer and Jeff and I adopted her daughter, who is now one of "our" kids. She had never really had a love for animals, but these horses she feels she can talk to and they have helped her through some very tough times. One could say, they are almost healing! I guess I just can’t explain it! But we are well and truly hooked!
Apart from our two beautiful Stallions, we have now assembled and continue to do so, a herd of the very best mares we can find, from across the world. We hope you will find pleasure in meeting our horses, within the pages of our website.
We are normal people who make mistakes like the next guy and learn from them. We wouldnt change one thing in our lives good or bad. Everything has made us who we are today. We really try and just love life with our horses and family. Sometimes we do funny little dances and make each other laugh. Try hard to love life, love family, and just be great human beings. Kindness and Respect is what we teach our kids and what we live by. Please come to our barn cams and to our chat. We would truly love to meet you!
