MILLIE!
Presenting - Melantha. (Millie)
Foaled August 31st. 2007.
"Melantha" means Dark Flower, and was named by our dear friend Ria from MareStare.
She is our 2007 filly, out of our beautiful Conners bred
mare Daphne, and our very own stallion, Sligo.
She is everything and more, than we could have asked for.
From her fabulous head, to her short back and
lovely neck and shoulder, her pictures tell the story.
Her personality is already charming everyone on the ranch,
and she already has a large following of admirers.
When Millie was born we took one look and were smitten!
I told Juan, because I had broke both of my hips, that it would be
great if she would lay down, then stand once I was over her!
That way I could ride her easily.
Juan of course took it to heart and started training Millie to do just that.
(That will teach me to think Juan is not listening!) The next thing we knew
Juan was showing me the wonderful trick he had taught our Millie. She was just
six months old!
At a year old she has almost mastered this trick! Millie doing a trick.
And if I know Juan by two years old Millie will lay down with a
voice command! Millie loves to learn!
Who knows, she may be sold before I ever get to ride her!
But the one thing I do know is I will never
forget how wonderful and willing our Millie is!
We are so lucky to have Juan! He has such a gentle spirit and is SO wonderful with
every horse he comes into contact with!
