Tara is taking her time bagging up. But she is moving along. She will be in at night. Athena is officially sold. She is going to a wonderful home in Chicago. The lady is very excited to have her. She was not one we wanted to sell, but we do need to get our horse numbers down and Jeff made the hard decision.

August 22,2008

Well Tara and her baby are offically sold to a wonderful couple in VA but wont be leaving us until she foals and is bred back to Sligo... The arrangements are being made now for Quinn to head to Australia! Athena sadly is also sold now. We need to sell another 15 horses! Wish us luck!

Tara is getting closer to foaling and is in every night on cams 1, 2 and 6. Her best buddy is in the stall next to her. That is Daisy. Every morning when they are let out of their stalls they give each other nibbs. They love each other a lot! it will be sad when Tara goes. Daisy is a sweet girl. Thank you for all of the interest, please keep the offers coming. We are considering anything. We look forward to finally moving into the house we have been building for three years!

August 12, 2008

We have gotten many offers on horses we do have for sale and some that are not listed for sale. We are looking at all offers on any horse that we have. All of our horses are on our property and will be shipped from Bend Oregon. We are almost sure that Quinn will be going to Australia! We think Tara and her new foal (after it is born) will be going to VA!!!! Both are wonderful families...We have not received deposits yet on Tara or Quinn so you never know. Other offers out there are for Athena so if anyone has a desire to own her please let us know. We are considering everything. We have another offer for Princess that we are considering. She is in foal to Pride. We also have some interest in Pereni but not a commitment. They are all up for grabs until a contract is signed and deposit is made. So if any of these horses are your dream horses, please make us an offer. We will be deciding soon as to who will get them. We will be keeping this board up to date as the horses are sold and offers are made.

July 29,2008

We have been working on bringing our website up to date. Many horses are for sale! Please feel free to make an offer on one you like. We will be keeping 10 to 12 horses only as we are cutting down to one property.

Apollo was born 25 to 30 days early to Daphne. He is a beautiful Sligo son. He has turned out to be very healthy and wonderful. Another tri colored baby for Sligo! He has already been spoken for but our dear friend Lizzie is still going to make him his own page! We have posted a bunch of new pictures of the new babies on webshots.

If you go into the "fun stuff" button there is a button in there to bring you to all of our albums! We do have one more Sligo baby to come this year! Tara will be due on the 25th of August. So far this year we have had two girls and three boys. Two of the boys are spoken for. They are all stunning! We feel blessed.

Please call us if you would like to come by and pet a foal or spend time with our horses! We love to show them off.

Velvet had a beautiful filly this evening! She has a Jet black head! Velvet is a very good momma and we are really enjoying watching this little girl explore!

The weather has turned to windy and yucky out. It hasn't stopped this little trooper from having fun!

Thanks for checking in!!!

Misty is up next. The first week in July she will be in the spotlight! Last year she had Telia. It will be exciting to see what this year will bring.

May 8th

It is Velvet's turn in the spotlight!

Velvet has a small amount of wax but still is a little ways out. We are putting her and Misty in at night just in case anything does happen!

Velvet was bred to Pride so this baby should be stunning. We are very excited. Velvet is also a maiden mare so we will keep a very close eye on her.

Misty is due the first part of July and like last year is as big as a house! Misty and Velvet get along so well that we thought they would be a good match in the field.

Misty has been with Belly and Quinn teaching them a few manners these last few months! We can really see how happy she is to be with Velvet now and away from the boys!

April 30th at 3am

Ebony foaled early and easily this morning! A beautiful tri colored colt that we named Commander. Please visit our new additions page to check him out. He also has an album on or webshots page.

April 15th Tuesday

Abby foaled last night at 11:50 PM. She almost made it to tax day! She had a beautiful colt. She is a wonderful momma and he is quite the snuggler. Thanks to all of the wonderful people on the cams watching with us! Ebony is waxed up and ready to go next. She is in cams 3 and 4!

March 25,2008 Tuesday

We are coming close to foaling time at our place!!!! First up is Ebony in foal with a Sligo baby! We are expecting this baby to be stunning with the color combo. This should also put some height on the foal. She is due April 21st so we will put her in the stalls at night within a week or two. We have been watching her closly. She is such a sweet mare. It will be nice to have that time with her to comb her and love on her all by herself!

Also due on the 21st of April is Abby. Abby is due with a Pride baby. We will be putting her in soon also. Last year she had Nina in the middle of the afternoon! So we will be looking at her closly to decide when to put her in. The temperment of this foal should be outstanding as Pride always puts his mark on his babies also. Pride has such a sweet temperment and beautiful look we can't wait to see the baby!! Abby had Nina last year and she is one of our favorites!

Please feel free to e-mail us if you have any questions. thegaks@yahoo.com We are very excited to spend time with all of the wonderful freinds we made last year at this time. And Jeff has been practicing his foal dance for you all!!!!

Saturday December 15, 2007

We just got word that the web cams were all down. All 12 of them! Our internet has been acting up with the deep freeze we seem to be in. But Jeff has gone out and got them running again. Sorry about that!

All of the horses have very thick coats right now. They are as axious as we are to move on to Spring time!

We hope that all of you have a wonderful December and enjoy your familys during the holidays. Thank you for letting us know when the cams have gone down. Sometimes we forget to check.

Happy Holidays! From our family to yours....Be happy and safe....

Sunday November 25th, 2007.

I have gotten a few e-mails asking who is on which cams. So here is the list for those of you who are interested. We do switch around the horses a lot, but for now hopefully thru most of the winter this is the way it will be.

Cams 1-8 are Misty, Velvet, Starry, Athena, Casavea, Princess, Prinny, Sandi-Kay, Neenah and Telia.

Cams 9-12 Sligo, Tara, Daisy

Off Cam now are Bella, Lizzie, Daphne, Millie, Newton, Duke, Mystic, Ginger, Belly, Quinn, Exceptional Taste (AKA ET), Mercedes, Dolly, and Affra

These groups are good for now. As Duke and Newton get older they will be moving. But for now they are with Daph, and Bella and Ginger. Three preggy mares will keep them in line.

It is going to be about 19 degrees tonight so we have loaded up the stalls with hay in hopes that some of the horses will come in throughout the night. Burrrrr...

November 23rd. 2007.
Lizzie has done it again! Thanks to her we now have this handy blog! How fun! Now we are able to keep everyone up to date with questions you may have! Or if you just want to know what is going on. We feel very lucky to have Lizzie doing our website for us. She is so fast at changes and really put this together for us in a matter of hours. She is truly an amazing person! Thank you so much Lizzie!

Today was very cold! The horses all have gotten furry coats and seem to be fine with the temp. Millie and Lizzie have seemed to doubled in size in the last few weeks. They have gotten huge. We have them in with their moms, Ginger and Mystic, and Duke and Newton. They all seem to really like the mix right now. Newton and Duke will be going to another field shortly. They have also gotten big. We have had so much fun watching the babies florish.

We are really looking forward to foaling season. We have three due in April.

First is Daisy due April 14th with a Sligo baby. Abby is due April 20th with a Pride baby. Ebony is due on April 23rd with a Sligo baby.

In May is our beautiful Velvet's turn. She is due with a Pride baby. She is a maiden mare due on May 31st. Then we have to wait until July 5th for the next one!

July 5th Misty is due with a Pride baby!

We will be trying to keep you up to date on this page. Please feel free to e-mail us with any questions you have!

Don't forget that the webcams are up all year long. Sligo, Daisy, and Tara are all in cams 9-12. They do have the ability to come and go into the stalls. We don't lock them in usually. They have about 5 acres that they stroll around in outside of the stalls.

The weanlings and a few mares are in cams 1-8. They also come and go and stroll around outside in about 10 acres. They really don't come in as often as the other three.
