REGISTRIES AND ASSOCIATIONS
Below we offer a few links to some of the Registries and Associations,
available to owners of Gypsy Horses. Although quite similar,
you will notice that each Registry has their own "Standard" for the breed.
THE GYPSY COB SOCIETY LTD.
The only Registry in England
dedicated solely to the Gypsy Cob.
GYPSY COB SOCIETY OF AMERICA, INC.
This is a sister Registry of the English Society
and have real Gypsies on their Board of Directors.
THE IRISH COB SOCIETY LIMITED
The Irish Cob Society was approved on 16th July 1998
by the Department of Agriculture
(the Competent Authority in the Republic of Ireland),
in accordance with EU Directive to Member States 90/427/EEC
and EU Commission Decision 92/353/EEC
for the purpose of maintaining The Irish Cob Stud Book
which is the Stud Book of the Origin of the Breed.
THE GYPSY COB
AND DRUM HORSE ASSOCIATION
The Gypsy Cob and Drum Horse Association
was formed as a way to record the parentage,
preserve the history, and promote the Gypsy Cob
and Drum Horse as a breed in North America.
NORTH AMERICAN SPOTTED
DRAFT HORSE ASSOCIATION
The NASDHA™ was formed in 1995 to preserve and promote
draft horses with pinto spotting.
AMERICAN DRUM HORSE ASSOCIATION
A Registry for Drum Horses Only.
THE BRITISH SKEWBALD AND PIEBALD ASSOCIATION.
Formed in 1989, The Association encourages and supports
competitive endeavour, responsible ownership and breeding
to maximise the potential of all Skewbald and Piebald equines.
