Hi Deb, Sorry to take so long in getting back with you.....busy time of year for me and we just moved into a new house. Since arriving here in great condition (many thanks to Juan and his family), Sligo has fast become the Shaman's Circle Ranch favorite! Not only a handsome lad, but a great personality and capability for riding and driving. Vicky and Christy have ridden him in the arena as well as all around the valley. I have ground driven him and will hook him up as soon as I finish the winter prep chores, hopefully today. He is all that you said he would be....he certainly has exceeded my expectations. A couple of imported Gypsy mares arrived last Friday and Sligo was very happy to see some of his own kind....not just the black Friesians. He talked to Panda and the Tyson mare all day, prancing up and down his pasture so that he could see and be seen! I think that he is looking forward to Spring for more intimate encounters. Thanks again for sharing Sligo with us. I am glad that your son is doing so well. That type of extensive surgery takes a lot of energy to heal. Sounds like he got excellent care. Best wishes, Steve

October 28, 2008 When we arrived in Bend, I was sold. Small Town appeal with all the shopping and second hand tack stores you could ask for!! (we don't have those in VA). As we followed the directions to Gypsy Elite, I remember saying "Trav look at that place, its beautiful."..he replied, "honey I think that's where we are staying!!" Honestly it was breathtaking. All the horses were grazing in beautiful green pastures with the new barns and the amazing home being built. That's when we got to meet our Tara, her new unbelievable colt "Blitz" and yes we took another one, Daisy who we also fell in love with. Jeff and Debra Gakstatter from day one were unbelievable. They went out of their way to make sure that we were taken care of and that the transaction was easy and we all stayed happy! Everyone of their horses were spoiled rotten and gorgeous. Juan their ranch hand took us on a trail ride and helped get us all ready for our trip back cross country. We could not have asked for a more hospitable stay, anywhere. Tabatha and Travis in Virginia

October 25, 2008 This is my first post here so hopefully I do it right! My name is Jen and I am Commander/Aidan's new mom. It is true, I am COMPLETELY in love with this colt!!! He is everything I could have hoped for and more. Deb and Jeff were wonderful to work with. I first saw Commander's newborn pics and was totally smitten with him. I just thought he was the cutest thing in the world. I wasn't seriously looking for another horse though so I just sort of put him in the back of my mind. I couldn't get him out of my head though and after a couple months I went back and saw the updated pics of him. That cute little colt was turning into quite the hunk. I couldn't take it any longer and had to email Deb and Jeff for more info. I knew my husband wasn't really ready for me to get another horse so I armed myself with all the details I could get and went to talk to him about it. He wasn't thrilled at first but I have to say that after seeing pictures of Commander he softened quite a bit. We discussed it and ultimately he gave me the go ahead to buy him. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to make that phone call to Deb to tell her we wanted to make Commander a part of our family. The day I picked him up was great. Deb and Jeff have an incredible place and I was in awe over all their beautiful horses. I can't believe that I have had Commander/Aidan for a month now. Time is flying by and I just adore him more every day. I can't thank Deb and Jeff enough for allowing me to have him. Now if only I could have convinced my husband to buy more than one. I would have had to take that little Amelia home with me too. That girl is too cute! Seriously though, Deb and Jeff don't be surprised if I contact you again someday wanting a Pride filly. I think a Pride filly with Aidan would be awesome! Oh and in case you are wondering my uncertain husband also completely adores Aidan :-) Deb, You guys certainly deserve all the praise. You have done an incredible job with your ranch and horses. I have been involved with training, breeding, showing horses since I was a kid and I have to say that yours is one of the nicest operations I have seen. You were so easy to work with and the foals you are producing are simply spectacular. You should be very proud of what you do. Now if I could just convince my husband that we need little Amelia!
