DOLLY! | |
|
Presenting - our Dolly! She is our 2006 filly, out of our gorgeous mare Ginger and the incredible PO Stallion. The PO Stallion is half brother to Lion King. Lion King and PO Stallion have the same dam - the immortal "PO Mare". Dolly was born in Kentucky on her way to Oregon. She is more than we could have ever asked for. Her sweetness comes across in every aspect of her life. From being in the field with other horses to saying hello to people that come out to pet her. She loves everyone. We often let her just graze in the yard because she is such a quiet mare, and so easy to put back into the fields when she has had enough of us petting and bugging her! Dolly is one in a million. Her mother Ginger was the same way. Smart and gentle and so easy to teach anything to. We named her after a German Shepherd dog we had as a child named "Dolly". She was a dog that will stay in my heart forever. She was always there for us kids. To this day I still miss her! Our horse Dolly stands true to her name for me.
