SligoSligo is a 13 years old, tri-color, Tobiano and stands a solid 15.hands. Sligo is a famous stallion from Germany. He was born in 1995 in Ireland. He is registered, licensed and proven in 3 German stud books. He has tons of hair and feather and lovely markings. Sligo has been at stud since 1997, and is the sire of 5 licensed and proven sons, 3 gold medal foals, and 2 state premium mares. He is trained in dressage and driving. He is also a willing jumper. November 17, 2010 Last night we heard from our friend on facebook that Sligo has died. The new owners had told her that he had a leg problem. Very vague but nothing more has been learned about the situation. He was put down last year and it looks like NOBODY knew this had happened. This was a shock to us as well as others with beautiful Sligo offspring. We want to make sure people know that we are trying to find out more information and have e-mailed the people who bought Sligo from us in hopes of getting the whole story. Please if anyone knows any more information on what happened to Sligo please contact us. As everyone that has Sligo's bloodlines in their herds would like to know if it was an accident or genetic.
