Trixie is absolutely stunning! This was Starry's first foal, and she was a nervous girl with all of the action in her tummy the last few months. So in the last part of her pregnancy we spent a lot of time in the stall with her sitting and reassuring her that she was OK. Starry is a very sweet mare and loved the attention. She waxed up a few weeks before she foaled so we watched her very closely. She liked to lay down at night and sleep and even eat while laying down. Well isn't this the way it goes..when you least expect it! We finally fell asleep about 1:00 am then a call came in at about 3 am with someone letting us know there was a foal beside Starry! We missed the whole delivery. She just laid there like usual and foaled without any of us knowing, on the cams or otherwise! We ran to the barn and saw the most STUNNING little filly! She was just a doll. Perfect little head, body and splashy colors! We were very proud of our Starry. She did it without us and did a great job. The birth was textbook! Starry was a nervous first time momma but calmed down after about a week. Trixie is very playful and very much a pocket horse. When she runs across the field she floats. It is just beautiful. Trixie is now a year old and just precious! What an amazing filly she has turned out to be. We offer Trixie for sale at $12,000.00 |
