Val!

Val!

"Follow Your Heart and Live Your Dreams...."

Laurie has named her Val short for Valentine.

Val came to us from Missouri. She was skin and bones. But we had a feeling she could be much more.

We had talked to a lady in Missouri that needed to get Val off her property. She had asked us to take Val and we had said no. She then sent us pictures and we could no longer say no. Val was skin and bones with a baby at her side. We decided to take a chance with this sweet skinny mare.

Mike and Katrina went the distance to pick her up. It was about 5000 miles round trip. We got her home.

Well, besides her teeth being a mess and her weight being horrible we went to work. We also have gotten to know this new girl. She is a wise soul. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body. And we could see every bone on her body!

We got Val in mid August 2010. It is now October 19, 2010 and our friend Laurie is excited to take her to her home in Northern California. As a spoiled kids horse and a loved member of Laurie's family we believe we have done good by Val.

No regrets..

Messages from Val's Owner Laurie

Val has settled in well as a California horse. She's learning about warm summers and low humidity... the absence of snow and green apples growing outside her stall door.

September 24th, at exactly 340 days, she presented us with the most perfect little foal. His name is Traveller and, like his gorgeous Mom, he's a Bay Tobiano. Pictures below~

Val has settled in well here at her new home, taking everything here in stride. Somehow I know it was meant to be for me to own her. She's a wonderfully sweet and wise girl... pretty much unflappable. She, and Pride, have bestowed their son with their calm demeanor. He is a love with a insatiable curiosity about life and all it's adventures to come.

We'll continue to keep her page updated with pictures and stories of how her life is unfolding.

Stay tuned!

UPDATE: November 14, 2011

Val and her foal Traveller have really made themselves at home with Laurie!

Now it is Laurie's turn to take over her web page! Laurie will keep you posted with pictures and stories!
